Add & Subtract Time

We need to get to Derby at high tide at 1430 hours. It will take 8 hours. What time should we leave?

The first leg of our trip will take 3 hours and 30 minutes, the next leg will be 2 hours and 45 minutes. How long is that altogether?

You need to be able to add and subtract time to plan passages on a boat.
