Measure Direction on a Chart

This is how to measure the direction of a course.

1. Place parallel rule along course.
2. Walk parallel rule to compass rose on chart. Don’t change the angle!
3. Line up the parallel rule with the centre of the compass rose.4. Measure degrees from compass rose scale (045°T).
